INVITATION TO MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES

What:                  Planning meeting for Implementation of the Continental 

                            Education Strategy for Africa (CESA)

When :                23 – 24 June 

Where:                African Union Commission Headquarters, Addis Ababa (Small Conference Hall 2&3, Lobby Area B, Multipurpose Hall, Caucus Room 17-23 &26)

Who:                   The meeting will be hosted by the African Union, Department of Human Resources Science and Technology (HRST)

Participants:      Experts from Member States, Regional Economic Committees (RECs), Key Partners in Education particularly those that have MOU’s with the AUC, including UNESCO, ADEA, ANCEFA, FAWE, among other Stakeholders

Objectives:  

1.   To establish the Coalition of Partners for  implementing CESA.

a.   Identify strategic thematic grouping of partners into CESA Clusters

b.   Agree on roles and responsibilities of partners and CESA Clusters

2.      Establish the Monitoring and Reporting Framework for CESA

3.      Agree on the CESA Implementation Road Map

4.      Receive and discuss updates on some thematic areas such as

a. Teacher Development

b. Girls and Women’s Education

c. School Feeding

d. Peace Education

e. Technical and Vocational Education Training
