The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights will on Friday 18 March, 2016 deliver judgment in Application 006/2013 Wilfred Onyango and others v United Republic of Tanzania,  from 10am at the seat of the Court in Arusha, Tanzania.

The Applicants, citizens of Kenya, allege they were lawfully in Mozambique probing business opportunities when they were, without lawful resort to legal measures or extradition, on 16 January 2006, kidnapped and put on a military aeroplane bound for Tanzania, where they have been incarcerated since and charged with murder and three charges of armed robbery.

The Judges heard the Applicants and the Respondent State in May 2015 during its 37th Ordinary Session in Arusha.

The public hearing will be held at the Kibo Hall at the AfCHPR premises at the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) buildings, Burka area, along Dodoma Road.

The Court meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may meet in Extra-Ordinary Session.
